We are in the era of irresistible process of ‘Globalization’. Revolutionary technological advancement is taking place all over the world and Bangladesh is no exception to rapid change.English continues to be the only internationally accepted language for communication. Command over English is absolutely (inseparable element) essential to participate in the process of Globalization and to keep pace with technological developments.

There are a number of English Medium Schools all over the country but most of them follow British system of education. Only Cadet Colleges and a few English Medium schools/colleges under National Curriculum are concentrated in Dhaka. As a result most of the students outside Dhaka are deprived of the opportunity to study in English Medium under National Curriculum.

To overcome the deficiency of English medium Colleges under national curriculum in Sylhet, Hafiz Mazumdar Trust came forward to set up SCHOLARSHOME Electric Supply (now relocated at ShahiEidgah) in the year 2002. In the sequence SCHOLARSHOME MAJORTILA ČOLLEGE was inaugurated in 2013 keeping both Bangla and English version in medium of teaching. This campus started journey with a team of young, energetic and enthusiastic teaching staff who boosted up the minds of numerous below standard students towards dream for an outstanding result. And it was a glorious beginning that inspires us till now.

World is an ever changing ground. New idea, new method and upgraded science and technology are the lead factors here. Thus a learner’s connection with the world knowledge gets prioritized by our college. To make a student a smart citizen, since our government is moving ahead to turn the nation into Smart Bangladesh, as well as a skilled participant in global competition is our first priority.

No person is sensible and praiseworthy unless he/she nourishes a sense of love for own culture, awareness about nation’s history, response for own traditions, and emotions for literature. So, to successful development of a student’s psychological state, we supervise co-curricular activities with high standard and efficiency.
